Parallel Ventilation – test mode, content for review

VIKKING NEO • PARALLEL VENTILATION

Fresh Air.
Without Fully Opening Your Window.

VIKKING NEO combines modern cubic design with advanced European parallel ventilation technology.

The window sash moves approximately 1/4 inch (6 mm) away from the frame, creating a narrow ventilation gap around its perimeter — bringing fresh air inside while the window remains visually almost closed.

Modern European window technology engineered for the U.S. market.

MEET VIKKING NEO

Modern Architecture Deserves Modern Windows

NEO moves beyond the traditional rounded appearance of conventional vinyl windows with clean lines, strong angles and contemporary cubic geometry.

Cubic Geometry

Clean, straight lines and strong angles create a distinctly modern architectural appearance.

Refined Proportions

Contemporary profile geometry gives the window a visually lighter, cleaner and more sophisticated character.

Contemporary Character

A modern PVC window aesthetic created for architecture where traditional rounded profiles simply do not fit.

MORE CONTROL OVER FRESH AIR

One Window. Three Ways to Use It.

Open it wide, tilt it for everyday ventilation, or choose parallel ventilation when you want fresh air without leaving the window visibly open.

01 — TURN

Open Wide

Swing the sash fully inward for maximum airflow, easy access and convenient cleaning of both sides of the glass.

02 — TILT

Ventilate From the Top

Tilt the top of the sash inward for familiar European-style, controlled everyday ventilation.

03 — PARALLEL VENTILATION

Ventilate Around the Sash

The entire sash moves approximately 1/4 inch (6 mm) away from the frame, creating a narrow ventilation opening around its perimeter.

A SMALL GAP. A DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE.

About 1/4 Inch Can Change the Way You Ventilate

Parallel ventilation doesn’t require the sash to remain visibly tilted.

Instead, the entire sash moves slightly away from the frame, creating an approximately 6 mm ventilation gap around its perimeter.

Fresh outdoor air can enter through the lower area while warmer indoor air can leave through the upper part of the window.

DISCREET VENTILATION

Fresh Air Without the Window Looking Open

A traditionally tilted window is easy to recognize. Parallel ventilation works differently: the sash remains nearly aligned with the frame.

EVERYDAY COMFORT

A Smarter Way to Ventilate

Controlled Airflow

Fresh air enters through a narrow opening distributed around the sash instead of one large opening.

Better Weather Protection

The narrow opening reduces exposure compared with leaving the sash widely tilted or fully open.

Less Space for Insects

An approximately 6 mm opening provides a much smaller path into the home than a conventionally open window.

Security-Minded Design

Specialized Winkhaus hardware keeps locking components engaged while the sash is positioned for parallel ventilation.

Bring fresh air into the room without opening the window wide.

Cooler Weather

Introduce outdoor air through a smaller, distributed opening.

Light Rain

Ventilate through a narrow perimeter gap instead of leaving the window extensively tilted.

Parallel ventilation moves the entire window sash slightly away from the frame, creating an approximately 1/4-inch (6 mm) ventilation gap around its perimeter.

No. Tilt and turn provides traditional inward opening and top-tilt ventilation. Parallel ventilation adds another mode that creates a narrow opening around the sash.

Yes. VIKKING NEO combines full inward opening, tilt ventilation and parallel ventilation in one window configuration.

The sash remains nearly aligned with the frame, making the parallel ventilation position much less noticeable than a traditionally tilted window.

Compatible VIKKING NEO configurations use Winkhaus activPilot Comfort hardware to provide the parallel ventilation function.
